Round Table: “Prospects for the introduction of the professional liability insurance of health workers in the Republic of Kazakhstan”

Opening the event, the Rector , Prof. A. Akanov said that at present a growing need to acquire the introduction of the professional liability insurance of health workers in the Republic of Kazakhstan . Insurance protection is needed all the medical staff in the event of disputes between health worker , on the one hand, and the patient and his relatives – with another, and compensation for damage caused by last due to poor medical care.
The report of the Head of the Department of Health Program of the National Center for Health Development A. Demesinov presented the results of the research, which formed the basis of the draft law on compulsory insurance of professional health care workers .
From the results of the survey of opinions of the faculty of the University of Insurance malpractice audience acquainted Director of Training Department of Public Health, Professor M.A. Kamaliev .

In the subsequent discussions of employees of public and private health care organizations , public health professionals and members of associations , the insurance market , the problems the implementation of the fundamental rights of the patient’s social and legal protection of medical workers , especially insurance medical malpractice , the ranking of medical specialties and paramedical personnel risk groups , improving the efficiency of insurance medical malpractice .
Roundtable participants adopted a resolution addressed to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan , on the assessment of prospects for the introduction of the professional liability insurance of health workers in the Republic of Kazakhstan .
