We present a short version of the report on an internship.

LUNZ a reliable partner in the field of education, and many other Western countries, a notable example of which is the active mobility of students and teachers.

The main structural parts are LUNS Medical and Veterinary Academy. Training program for future specialists comprises 14 studio courses and 24 studio program, which had 24 departments, 40 clinical sites and 6 institutions. At the Academy of Medicine five faculties: medical, pharmaceutical, odontology, public health and nursing.

For the teaching of basic sciences Medical Academy, besides the classroom, provided training and laboratory building and practical teaching facilities. Clinical subjects have a basic foundation in the Hospital of the University and its affiliates.

Cycle classes that end with the final exam are typical of one year of medical school, dentistry and nursing. Same semester classes for the Faculty of Pharmacy are taught during the semester, and the grade is in session. Attaches particular importance to the problematic classes with 2 courses of the Faculty of Medicine, aimed to promote the formation of the future expert thinking logically and professionally adventurous.

By loan program LUNS passed in September 2011.

Practical classes’ students attend in groups of 10-14 people. Lecture flows ranging from 50 to 100 students, and large flows in medical school to reach 300.

Practical exercises are the foundation of the mortgage base a new project on the relevant discipline. Overall, the project is executed within the time allotted by the CDS. The concept of SRSP (СРСП рус) is missing.

In addition to standard academic courses Medical Academy has a protracted course for working among the students. For example, if the Bachelor’s degree is from 3.5 to 4 years, for protracted course training program for up to 6 years. Accordingly 1.5-2 year Master’s degree in different extended to 3 years.

Particularly noteworthy is a comprehensive system of information resources LUNS through automated software. The system translates the objectives, functions, and the results of the related units and structural units of the university in an electronic format, which greatly facilitates the work and makes available the feedback at any stage of work.

On Friday of the first week we’ve been in the Senate of the University, to discuss important issues, activities of university life. The agenda of the Senate was provided presentation of the certificate of Kazakh group-health workers, who arrived on a thematic specialization. Lithuanians also exhibit hospitality banquet greetings and congratulations of all who came from Kazakhstan (photo).

In the second week we were told about the quality management system in the clinic LUNS. QMS (CMK рус.) based on municipality and state levels of the national health systems of Lithuania, without exception. In Kaunas, there are two hospitals of national importance: the University Hospital (which included four hospitals) and Kaunas Republican Hospital.

The next week was devoted to the Public Health Center. This is the former sanitary-epidemiological service in all of its restructuring and revision of authority. Given that the control and monitoring functions of the Department of Food Hygiene transferred to the veterinary service, and all other hygienic departments restrict the provision of advice, it must be said a big change in the structure of the national health system, unwanted in our opinion.

According to the script, before the fourth week, at the time of collecting more tutors (ППС рус.), we presented Kazakhstan’s public health system in different ways analytical, informational and reference with a demonstration on photo charts.

On the same last week we delved into research and teaching activities of the Department of Preventive Medicine, led by Professor Žilvinas Padayga. Things were built in the form of lectures and the main lecturer invited by the people with the subsequent discussion. Familiarize yourself with the structure and characteristics of the subjects taught the form and method of submission. It should be noted that many of the theoretical subjects of the department have a practical framework through the work of a research institute at the department, which has experience in international projects to WHO (ВОЗ рус.) scale.

Upon completion of the internship program was presented to us “model of evidence-based public health services at the municipal level.” In the constructed model, we found the answer to all your questions regarding public health in Lithuania.

A nice addition to our training program was tour, the capital of Vilnius -, and other popular attractions like Palanga, Klaipeda, Trakai, Nida, and, of course, the Baltic Sea.

Taking advantage of the weekend, we managed to visit in France (Paris), Sweden (Stockholm) and in Latvia (Riga). These unforgettable experiences were not only fun but also served to become a material of foreign experience.
