The faculty and staff of the course carries out tremendous educational work with students on patriotic and international education, promoting a healthy lifestyle. Students organize meetings with the heads of the sanitary service on employment issues, the rules for admission to the civil service, etc. With the aim of youth cultural education, faculty and staff organize excursions to museums, exhibitions, trips to the theater and cinema. Educational work are carried out not only among students, but also among schoolchildren – together with students faculty and staff organize discussions on the formation of a healthy lifestyle in children. In addition, the department is responsible for career training for students.
The faculty and staff of the department together with students participate in the organization of university events “New Year’s Eve”, “Nauryz”, “Student Spring”, etc. The department organizes various conferences on educational and scientific topics. In general, the department’s work is focused on the training of specialists in the field of hygiene, who can assess and predict the sanitary condition of environmental objects, the level of health of the population, in particular children. Life puts forward new tasks for the department staff, which is an incentive for further improvement of its work, the development of its new forms and methods. Educational work is carried out mentoring among students 3, 4 courses of the faculty of public health, at Kazakh and Russian departments.
In all academic groups, work is constantly being conducted aimed at improving the discipline and academic performance of students. All mentors acquainted students of the supervised groups with the provisions on: “The rights and obligations of university students”, “KazNMU internal regulations”, “Code of honor of KazNMU students”, the history of the department, the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the anthem of the university, the coat of arms and flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Particular attention was paid by mentors to issues of patriotic education, the growth of spiritual culture (visiting theaters, reading fiction, talking), instilling a sense of responsibility for one’s actions, awareness of the need for strong knowledge for professional development, problems of modern healthcare and the formation of a healthy lifestyle.
Students took an active part in events reflecting the history of the peoples of Kazakhstan, folk traditions, the development of patriotism and internationalism in modern Kazakhstan, the social and economic modernization of the Republic, a healthy lifestyle, corruption in educational institutions, etc.
