Research work

The main scientific direction of the Department of Epidemiology is the improvement of epidemiological surveillance of infectious and parasitic diseases that are relevant to the health care of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These are the problems of brucellosis, tuberculosis, listeriosis, pasteurellosis, echinococcosis, a number of hemorrhagic fevers, vaccine-preventable infections (poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, including congenital rubella, diphtheria, meningococcal infection, viral hepatitis A, B).
At present, on the basis of the School of Vaccination, the scientific and technical program “Educational and informational training of medical workers and the population, development and testing of a method and drugs for early assessment of the immunological effectiveness of vaccination against human papillomavirus infections” is being implemented, under a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Scientific adviser – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Amireev S.A., deadline 2012 – 2014.
During the period of reconstruction of the department since 1995. under the leadership of Professor S.A. Amireev. 6+ doctoral, 20+ master’s, 6+ master’s theses were defended.
Under the guidance of professors and associate professors of the department, master’s theses of 8 undergraduates are carried out. 6 undergraduates have successfully defended their scientific work over the past two years.
The scientific research work of students (SRWS) is carried out in the form of a retrospective epidemiological analysis, assessment of risk factors for parenteral hepatitis, tuberculosis, HAI, etc.
